Both Redneck Bank and Evantage Bank are lowering their money market account rates from 3.10% APY down to 2.00% APY after only a few months of existence. BankVibe readers Farmer Frank and JFK have informed me of the following regarding these two banks and their now exposed teaser rates:

Evantage Bank – Notified via email that Evantage Bank will lower it’s mega money market account rate from 3.10% APY to 2.00% APY as of May 5, 2009.

Redneck Bank – Notified via email on 4/22/09 that Redneck Bank will lower it’s mega money market account rate from 3.10% APY to 2.00% APY as of May 5, 2009.

Redneck Bank’s Current Mega Money Market Account Rate:

If you check Redneck Bank’s website they will still be promoting the 3.10% APY mega money market account, however, this rate becomes 2.00% APY as of the fifth of next month.

Evantage Bank’s Current Mega Money Market Account Rate:

Same as Redneck. If you take a peak at their website you will see that they are still advertising the 3.10% rate but this will drop on the fifth of next month as well.
