New high interest checking account – Free $50 gas card!

January 3rd, 2009 Posted in Bank Deals!, Rewards Checking Accounts

East Cambridge Savings Bank is offering new customers a free $50 gas card for setting up a new high interest checking account. You only need $10.00 to open this new account, making this promotion pretty decent. Another aspect of this deal that I really like is that EastCambridge Savings Bank will also reimburse your checking account with any fees you incur through competing bank’s ATM machines (I get hit on these fees frequently with my current bank).

Here is their offer for new high interest checking accounts:

  • 2.00% APY
  • Free $50.00 Gift Card!
  • No ATM Fees – ATMs worldwide are free. All surcharges from other bank ATMs are reimbursed to your account.
  • Free Online Bill Pay – Makes paying your bills a snap
  • No Monthly Fees (only if you follow their terms below)

      Terms and Conditions:

      - Annual Percentage Yield (APY) as of 9/3/08 and subject to change after account opening.

      - Minimum to open this account is $10.00

      - Gift card is considered a bonus and is subject to 1099 reporting.

      - One direct deposit and 10 debit card Point-of-Sale transactions required per month, otherwise they will charge monthly maintenance fees.
