High Point Earnings on Regular Purchases

We like the Marriot Premier Card from Chase because you accumulate points quickly for just about any purchase. Staying at Marriot hotels yields the highest points, typically 5 for every dollar spent. However, you’ll also score double points on things like dining, car rental and airline travel!

But, don’t worry. Even if you don’t spend in the high point categories, you’ll earn at least one point for virtually everything else. Best of all, there’s no cap on point earnings. The sky is the limit! The more you spend, the more you earn (even if you pay it off monthly!).

Redeem Points for Valuable Rewards

Racking up points is quick and easy with this card. However, you’ll also get access to a wide-selection of redemption options, including FREE hotel stays. The options are endless, including:

  • FREE Airline Tickets
  • Complimentary Hotel Stays (Marriot or Ritz-Carlton hotels worldwide)
  • Car rentals
  • Cruise certificates with leading companies
  • Travel packages
  • Valuable merchandize from online Sky Mall

Also, just for being a card holder, you get a FREE night stay e-certificate at a hotel annually, category 1 through 5! The voucher is automatically added to your account each year after your annual anniversary. It’s simple, with nothing to fill out or request.

Your voucher, however, does have a time limit. Use within six months of receiving.

Other Perks

The Marriot Premier Card from Chase offers you added benefits. For example, you’ll enjoy 24/7 concierge service. Plus, you’ll get exclusive access to major sporting event tickets and premium discounts on travel packages. The company is added new card holder benefits all the time!

Annual Fee

The Marriot Premier Card from Chase has an $85 annual fee. This is higher than the regular Marriot card; however, your ability to accumulate rewards is much faster, offsetting the annual cost. Plus, you’ll earn a FREE night stay at Marriot locations worldwide (no matter how many points you earn, or how much you spend).

Best of all, the annual fee is waived for the first year! This means, you can test drive the card, enjoy the perks, and make sure it’s worthwhile before paying the annual fee.

The Fine Print

After opening the Marriot Premier Card from Chase, you can close the account at any time. However, if you close the account within the first six months, you’ll lose points. So, it’s best to leave the account open for at least six months to enjoy the rewards.

Also, the Marriot Premier Card’s APR is slightly higher than other cards. As a result, this card is best if you pay off your balance off monthly to avoid high interest payments.

Qualifying for the Card

This is a premium credit card, requiring an excellent credit score.

An excellent credit score is usually in the high 700s. However, once approved, you can take advantage of your FREE e-certificate in a category 1 through 5 hotels right away. Find out if you qualify by applying instantly online here.

The Verdict

We like this card because it allows you to accumulate points and rewards fast. The card does carries a high annual percentage rate (APR). So, it’s best for people who don’t carry monthly balances. And, although it has an annual fee, the rewards make it worth it. The value of the FREE night stay each year, makes up for the annual fee alone (not to mention the other perks).

Plus, this premium version of the card doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee. If you frequently travel abroad, this is a HUGE money saver. Read this before searching for the right credit card for traveling outside the country.
