Credit Unions with the Highest CD Rates in Texas – 2012

In this week’s roundup of the top CD rates for Texas residents we figured we’d just cover the top offers from credit unions. If you’re looking to plop some cash into a deposit from a bank rather than a credit union, you may want to check out our database of national and online banks that can accept deposits from any state or you can comb through our archives of local bank deals and rates in Texas.

Whenever we’ve surveyed the best savings rates in the southern and mid-western states in 2012, we’ve found that there are a plethora of local credit unions in the region willing to offer much higher rates than the current national average(s) found by the nations largest banks. The only catch with most of these credit unions is they often come with exclusive membership that is only granted to local residents and/or qualifying individuals. Visit the credit union’s website for further information regarding membership if you’re going to proceed with one of the following certificate of deposit products.
