Auto Loan Contest: No payments for 3 months!
BECU (Boeing Employees Credit Union) is running a sweepstakes for this month (December ‘09). Currently anyone who applies for a new auto loan will automatically be entered to win 3 months of no payments. To be eligible for this contest you must apply (and be approved) for a new or used car loan by 5:00 p.m. January 05, 2009.
Unfortunately this deal is only available to Washington state residents as BECU’s membership eligibility is exclusive to that state. However, this may be a plus if you do reside in Washington state because of the limited number of new auto loans being processed during the 31 day period.
BECU has also lowered it’s auto loan rate to 4.49% APR through year end, so even if you do not win the sweepstakes you are still left with a reasonable rate.
Terms and Conditions of Contest:
- No Purchase necessary. Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Odds of winning will depend upon the number of entries received.
- Loans must be funded by 5pm PT on the 5th January 2010
- Estimated value of the prize is not greater than $2,500 and is based on the winner’s monthly car loan payment.
- You need not be present to win, the winner will be notified by telephone or mail.
- The promoter and sponsor of the drawing is Boeing Employees’ Credit Union (BECU), 12770 Gateway Drive, Tukwila, WA 98168.
- All BECU employees, Board members, Supervisory Committee members and their families are exempt from this drawing.
Details of BECU’s Auto Loan Products:
- 4.24% APR based on BECU membership, excellent creditworthiness, 60-months or less loan term secured by auto three years old or newer, and includes 0.50% automatic payment rate reduction.
- Rates offered will be based on established BECU membership, applicant’s creditworthiness, age of collateral, payment method and repayment period.
- Financing subject to BECU credit approval.

the contest is a good idea for the holidays but even if they only do 3 auto loans this month i still don’t like my odds. I could lock in a similar interest rate somewhere else. also i dont live in wa so it doesn’t help me much.
